We are a dedicated group of experienced gardeners with a vision: to establish a not-for-profit organization on the Eastern Shore focused on promoting home vegetable gardening and enhancing local food security.
A key part of our mission is to cultivate a volunteer network. The roles of the volunteers can range from teaching people how to garden to helping seniors and individuals with health challenges remain active and thriving in their existing gardens.
We are seeking like-minded individuals to join our initiative!
We are looking for people with:
- Gardening Expertise: Backgrounds in food gardening and greenhouse growing.
- Physical Assistance: The general ability to assist with physical tasks (landscaping, excavation, etc.).
- Organizational and Financial Skills: Experience in finance, leadership, grant writing, fundraising, or previous board service.
